WATCH PARTY EVENT - A.A. International Convention in July
2025 A.A. International Convention
This event is THE premier event for the A.A. global community and only happens every 5 years!
This incredible event marks the anniversary of Bill W’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the birth of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935.
This year the convention will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada the weekend of July 3rd – 6th.
It is expected to have over 48,000 attendees from over 80 countries.
Many of our own 562 Clubhouse members will be there in attendance - what an experience!!!!
This year, for the first time, A.A. is simulcasting the entire event and making it available to anyone and any group that cannot attend but wants to experience this very cool and important event.
At our recent Business Committee meeting it was proposed that we purchase the simulcast for the main 2 days of the event, Friday July 4th and Saturday July 5th to share with the 562 Community. The vote passed unanimously.
With that said, we are very excited to invite everyone to attend the 1st ever……….

Convention events include.
Friday July 4th
9:00 am – 8:00 pm – 4 International Meetings live from the convention (exact times to be determined and shared)
8:30 pm – 10:30 pm The Opening Big Meeting and The Flag Ceremony – a premier event of the weekend with a Grand Entry of Flag bearer attendees celebrating the diversity of membership in A.A.
Saturday July 5th
9:00 am – 8:00 pm – 4 International Meetings live from the convention (exact times to be determined and shared)
8:30 pm – 10:30pm – The Old Timers Meeting - Where Old Timers (Long Timers ) with over 60 years of sobriety, share their experiences
We are very excited to make this into a weekend-long event at the 562 Clubhouse.
As a bonus, our monthly First Friday will take place the first night of the Watch Party!
And it’s also July 4th Independence day! What a Weekend!!
In order to make the Watch Party and First Friday a wonderful event and to bring together our community and newcomers to support the primary purpose of A.A., we need you and your Service!
Below is a Google Form sign-up sheet to help make sure we have support in food and managing the weekend.
We will also pass around a clipboard during meetings as well as "pass the basket" for this event.
